The curved hind legs and the semicircular top rail together with the elegant Y-back endow the chair with a gracious and welcoming air.

The name refers to the shape of the chair’s back which resembles the breastbone of a chicken. It is a light and relatively small piece of furniture adaptable to almost any interior.

Beautiful from all angles, the Wishbone Y-chair is part of the series “Chinese chairs”, which were inspired by portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Ming chairs.
Designer
Inspired by HANS J. WEGNER DENMARK (April 2, 1914 – January 26, 2007) Hans J. Wegner is a name that stands out as the undisputable master of 20th-century Danish Modernism. More specifically, he was instrumental in developing a body of work known as organic functionalism. His early training included both carpentry and architecture before establishing his own furniture studio.
This product is a tribute to him.
