VERSATILE
It is suitable for any environment, from lounges and waiting areas to private homes. The PK8 Style Chair is a fine choice together with a great variety of tables.

FURNITURE ARCHITECTURE
The PK8 was put into production in close collaboration with Hanne Kjærholm and introduced to the public in connection with the 2007 exhibition about Poul Kjærholm, “The furniture architect”, at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.

The special form of the chair, with its composition of sinuous curves, resembles Kjærholm’s cantilevered chair from 1953, but the three legs, which shape compliments the seating element, give the chair an outstanding expression of its own.

The reinforced fiberglass frame is upholstered with your choice of leather or cashmere fabric and is supported by legs made of the best stainless steel. This chair is a durable piece that will last for years to come.

Designer

An original piece by POUL KJÆRHOLM DENMARK (January 8, 1929 – April 18, 1980) Poul Kjærholm’s pieces are sculptures in themselves, but with an understated, subtle quality that makes them ideally suited for accompanying art. In 2004, New York’s Museum of Modern Art installed Kjærholm daybeds, tables and chairs in its galleries and restaurant. In his furniture, Kjærholm emphasized use and wear, with a focus on materials that were durable and improved with age. He viewed each piece as an element to support an architectural space, and was equally interested in how a chair or lounge positioned the sitter in relation to the surrounding floors and walls.
This product is a tribute to him.
