DESIGNER LAMP MADE OF MOUTH-BLOWN GLASS
The PH 4½-3½ floor lamp by Louis Poulsen is a noble lamp in Scandinavian design. The three-part shade is made of mouth-blown opal glass and casts a beautiful glow in any room – whether in the living room, bedroom or workspace. The designer Poul Henningsen took the logarithmic spiral as a model to create a particularly beautiful light on a scientific basis. Today, the lamp, which was designed in the 1920s, is a versatile classic and an integral part of interiors all over the world.

NATURALLY INSPIRED
The basic idea and shape of the chair was conceived on a hot summer afternoon – while the kids were playing in the shallow water on the beach, Wegner was digging himself into the sand building a comfortable chair to enjoy the holidays.
Designer
Inspired by POUL HENNINGSEN Poul Henningsen’s PH 3½-2½ Floor Lamp (1927) is a member of the PH 3-shade family, a series of light fixtures designed by Henningsen to produce glare-free and economically distributed light. The three glass shades of the PH 3½-2½ Floor Lamp are arranged in a relationship of 3:2:1, drawing their reflections over a logarithmic spiral, which places the light source directly in the spiral’s focal point. Allowing most of the light to reflect outward and downward from the matte undersides, the glass shades enable 12% of the light to penetrate and contribute to the overall room lighting. The result is a soft, evenly distributed glare-free glow. Bulb (not included): 100W/120V/A19. Made in Denmark by Louis Poulsen.
