Designer
Designed by Hee Welling
Hee Welling is a Danish designer of furniture, who established his own Copenhagen studio in 2003. Welling won a variety of design awards including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), the Strong Design Award (USA), and was nominated as the year’s Danish designer both in 2013 and 2014. He went on to study at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and received his master’s degree in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (where he is also now a design tutor). His design ethos is based on the concept of making technically competent goods capable of reaching a large public. A great sense of proportion and quietly elegant looks characterise his work.
