PERSONAL INSPIRATION
Finn Juhl designed the Poet Sofa (1941) for use in his own home. Today, the Juhl house – an early example of open-plan design and offers views to its garden from every room – is part of the Ordrupgaard Museum.
ORGANIC DESIGN
Being connected to the landscape was something that Juhl both lived and practiced, and the influence is notable in the organic forms of his furniture.

Designer
Inspired by FINN JUHL DENMARK (January 30, 1912 – May 17, 1989) When you look at the graceful shapes and sensual curves of Finn Juhl’s work, you may be shocked to realize that he designed these pieces 60 to 70 years ago. A pioneering force in his own country, Juhl felt that furniture, handicraft and art should create a completeness of the house, which in his case was decorated with works of the Danish painters of the time.
The Baker Style 2 Seater is a tribute to him.
