RECOGNISED DESIGN
The Saarinen Executive Armchair remains one of his most popular designs, with a Federal Award for Industrial Design in 1969 to boast.
SCULPTURE PIECE
Saarinen regarded architecture as a discipline like the fine arts, and in particular, sculptures. He called himself a “form giver” and everything he designed, including the Executive Chair, has a strong sculptural quality.
Designer
Inspired by EERO SAARINEN DENMARK (April 2, 1914 – January 26, 2007) Hans J. Wegner is a name that stands out as the undisputable master of 20th-century Danish Modernism. More specifically, he was instrumental in developing a body of work known as organic functionalism. His early training included both carpentry and architecture before establishing his own furniture studio. This product is a tribute to him.
