NATURALLY INSPIRED
The basic idea and shape of the chair was conceived on a hot summer afternoon – while the kids were playing in the shallow water on the beach, Wegner was digging himself into the sand building a comfortable chair to enjoy the holidays.
Designer
Inspired by Marconato Maurizio Born in Como in 1961, and Terry Zappa, born in Como in 1963, they live and work in Cantù. Both graduated in architecture with distinction in 1986 at “Politecnico di Milano”. In 1991, they formed “Studio MARCONATO & ZAPPA Architetti Associati” in Cantù, after a few years of individual professional practise. They have been involved as professional designers since 1981, producing groundbreaking items for various furniture industry firms. Growing product is carefully taken care of during the different phases of product design , engineering and marketing. Coordinating the art direction and stand designs for trade fairs and exhibits was also their expertise.
